Test Certificate  
We provide test certificate detailing test results obtained in our factory with every drum that we dispatch.

Bending Radius  
While installation of PVC insulated heavy duty cables of 650/1100 volts grade, bending radius should no be less than the following 

I. Single Core Cables  15 times the overall diameter of Cables.

II.Multi Core Cables  12 times the overall diameter of Cables.

Current Ratings 
The continous current ratings and the rating factors for PVC insulated Heavy Duty Cables, given here are generally in accordance with IS: 3961(Pt.II)1967.

Basic Assumptions 
The current ratings are based on the following installation conditions 

I. Maximum conductor temparature 70° C.

II. Thermal resistivity of soil 150° C cm/w.

III. Thermal resistivity of PVC 650° C cm/w.

IV. Ground Temparature 30° C.

V. Ambient air temparature 40° C.

VI. Depth of laying (to the highest point) of cable laid direct in the ground 75 cm.

Short Circuit Current Rating of Aluminium for 1 Second Duration. 
Short Circuit Ratings of Starcab Cables can be calculated by using the following formula
lsh = KA / sqrt ( t )
where
lsh  Short circuit current im amps.
A  Conductor area in sq. mm.
t  duration of short circuit in second.
K  75.80 for Aluminium Cables.
K  109.00 for Copper Cables.
